The Grieving - Martha and Mary

JOHN 1:46   "Nazareth!  Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see," said Phillip.

John 1:49     Then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God;  you are the King of Israel."  

Matthew 9:9   As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

Matthew 9:13  But go and learn what this means: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

John 3:3   In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."

John 3:10   "You are Israel's teacher," said Jesus, "and do you not understand these things?" 

John 4:9   The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a  drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) 

John 4:14  "but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."  

Mark 5:5  This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him any more, not even with a chain.

Mark 5:19  Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you."

Mark 5:25-26  And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

Mark 5:34   He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."

Luke 18:22   When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Luke 18:27   Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

Luke 19:5    When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."

Luke 19:10   "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

John 11:21   "Lord," Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died."  

John 11:25-26   Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;  and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

John 11:35    Jesus wept.

John 18:37   "You are a king, then!", said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

John 18:38   "What is truth?",  Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him." 

Acts 9:4   He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

1 Timothy 1:15-16   Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners — of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
