Jesus gave us two commandments, to love God and to love people. Over the years LHCC
has done several things to love people outside our church so that they see out faith
at work. We have adopted needy families at holidays through our partnership with
Northern Churches Care. We have visited retirement homes and care facilities where
we performed worship services, and we have worked through senior citizen organizations
to rake leaves or wash the windows of those who can no longer do such tasks. The
warmth that comes from sharing Christ’s love with others is both regarding
and renewing.
Women's Ministry
Women's Ministries endeavors to enrich the spiritual lives of women, while having
great fellowship and care for each other. If you have questions about any of the
studies or events planned for Living Hope Women's Ministries, please contact the
church.
Women's Ministries at Living Hope Covenant Church welcomes all women to:
Weekly Bible Study Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Currently we are studying Beth
Moore's Believing God and Joanna Weaver's Having a Mary Heart
in a Martha World.
Monthly Bunko nights and fellowship, the third Friday of each month.
Join us for fun,
Women's Book Club
Spending time in community and focusing on issues that all women deal with is one
of the goals of the LHCC Women's Book Club. Reading good books and being challenged
is another goal. This monthly gathering of ladies is lively and interactive - they
choose new books each month, and gather the last Tuesday of the month to discuss
what they've read. Some of the past titles include "The Secret Life of Bees",
"Blue Like Jazz", and "The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund
Freud Debate God, Love, Sex and the Meaning of Life". Please contact the church
for more information.
