Faye Spieker
Drama Director
Faye Spieker has written, directed, and performed in worship dramas and special
programs at LHCC since our church began. She also enjoys working in our children’s
ministry with drama and puppets, as well as teaching Sunday School, and singing
in the choir.
Faye, born in Illinois, attended the Squaw Peak Covenant Church in Phoenix when
she was growing up. Her Mom, who had also been a Sunday School teacher, led Faye
to the Lord when she was three years old. She graduated from Grand Canyon University
with a double major in Elementary Ed. and Theater Arts. She taught kindergarten
before becoming Mom to her two sons and since then has done some substitute teaching.
She and her husband Jon and her two teenage sons, Todd (21) and Adam (20), are all
active at LHCC. She spends her time taking care of her family, (including two dogs
Max and Sophie) reading, drawing, and writing. She has been published in several
children’s drama books, a craft book, and Sunday School curriculum.
Faye’s favorite book of the Bible is Psalms. She says it is a good place to
go for encouragement and for reminders of God’s promises to us. Her favorite
verse to quote to her actors is Psalm 40:9-10 “I proclaim righteousness in
the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, as you know O Lord, I do not hide your
righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation. I do not
conceal your love and truth from the great assembly.”;
Our Mission
